general guidelines

formatting

Word Documents (.doc or .docx files) are required*. If you have specific formatting considerations, please also attach a PDF of the formatted manuscript.
Times New Roman 12px font, Double-Spaced.
Ensure the submission title and author name is on every page as part of a header.
Please number all pages in the header.

submission email

Your submission should be attached to your email. Please do not include submissions directly in the body text of an email.
Your email subject line should include the SUBMISSIONS’s GENRE, TITLE, and ARTIST NAME & be formatted as such:
  • [Genre] Submission – [Title] by [Artist Name]
In the body of your submission email, please include:
  • the submission title & genre (once more)
  • the artist’s by-line & a brief bio
  • links to artist’s platforms (e.g. YouTube, Spotify, personal website etc.)
  • the approximate word/ lyric count (rounded to nearest 10)
  • a description/introduction for your piece
  • a content warning, as necessary
  • (optional) a picture of you, the artist – attached as a JPEG or PNG

Please also attach an mp3 file of your piece. Maximum 5 minutes.
We still require a Word document with lyrics/words for accessibility purposes.
You may include shareable links of the piece (e.g. Spotify, YouTube) if the piece has been published elsewhere. This is separate from the mp3 file we require for our uploading to our website.

musings

Consist of thought-provoking essays on any topic from lifestyle to entertainment. We are seeking nuanced and innovative perspectives.
Maximum 5000 words.

poetry

Maximum 1000 words.

short stories

Maximum 3000 words.

logistics

We accept simultaneous submissions, so long as inclusion of your submission in our magazine is in line with other publishers’ restrictions.
Artists retain full ownership and rights to published pieces.

An editor will review your piece.
You will be notified via email about the status of your piece’s acceptance/rejection. Please allow 14 business days.
